MR MIKES + Make Happy Tummies: Serving Up Brighter Mornings

Since September 9, 2024, MR MIKES SteakhouseCasual has proudly partnered with Make Happy Tummies (formerly Toonies for Tummies), joining a growing movement to nourish children in local communities.

At participating MR MIKES locations, guests can enjoy special menu features that not only delight diners but also make a meaningful difference for children nearby. In less than a year, MR MIKES has helped raise nearly $100,000 to support local breakfast programs—a remarkable impact in such a short time.

100% of donations stay in the community, helping more school-aged children enjoy healthy breakfasts and start each day ready to learn and thrive.

With initiatives running year-round, MR MIKES shows how great food and community support come together to create brighter mornings and lasting change—one breakfast at a time.

Stacks and Stacks of Impact

We said we were excited for the 2025 Stacked Pancake Campaign — and the results speak for themselves. In its third year, the campaign has reached new heights, making 55,000 nutritious meals possible for children facing childhood hunger in communities across Canada.

This milestone reflects not only the campaign’s growing impact but also Stacked’s remarkable three-year commitment growth, expanding in step with its rapidly expanding franchise network. As Stacked continues to open new locations nationwide, its dedication to giving back has grown just as powerfully.

Thanks to Stacked’s leadership, franchise owners, restaurant teams, and valued partners, whose passion and generosity continue to fuel this success. Together, they’ve shown what’s possible when a brand truly invests in the communities it serves.

This year’s impact was made even more meaningful as Stacked returned to the very community where their journey began, presenting the campaign cheque close to home — a full-circle moment that underscores the heart behind the initiative.

With 100% of proceeds supporting children in the same communities where diners donated, this campaign ensures that generosity stays local while creating a nationwide ripple effect — helping children thrive from coast to coast.

To everyone who donated, participated, and supported this effort: thank you for helping turn pancakes into purpose.

100 Men Who Give a Damn Newmarket

Vince’s Market, a longtime supporter of our mission, introduced Make Happy Tummies to 100 Men Who Give a Damn, a group committed to supporting local charities and strengthening their community.  Hearing that 100% of donations stay local and directly support children, the group chose to support Make Happy Tummies to help address childhood hunger where it matters most.

Their generosity highlights the power of community-led action and shared values, ensuring that children have access to the nutritious food they need to grow and thrive.

“As a group, our 100 Men Who ‘Give a Damn!’ know how fortunate we are, and we believe strongly in giving back to meet our community’s greatest needs. Childhood hunger is certainly a priority.

Thank you to The Grocery Foundation and Vince’s Market for the important work you do in our community.”

Together, The Grocery Foundation, Vince’s Market, and dedicated community partners like 100 Men Who Give a Damn! are making a meaningful difference for children and families—right where support is needed most.

The impact of this donation is not just measured in dollars; it is measured in the daily

opportunities we can now provide and the transformation it brings to the classroom. This program offers healthy, essential choices such as fresh fruit, vegetables, Cheerios, yogurt, and cheese. For many of our students, this is the foundation they need to kick-start their energy and

focus so they are ready to learn and play.

This support is particularly critical in a community facing challenges such as food insecurity. We struggle to fund our Breakfast and Healthy Snack Program, and without generous, ongoing community support like yours, this program—which serves students who often come to school hungry—would be incredibly difficult to sustain. Your contribution is foundational in ensuring every student has an equal start to their day.

Thank you for choosing to make a difference,

Backpacks Packed. Impact Unlocked! Kellogg's Back-to-School Campaign Delivered for Kids

Kellogg’s, through Kellanova Canada, once again deepened its commitment to Make Happy Tummies with a successful Back-to-School campaign that helped set children up for success long after the school bell rang.

As a longstanding partner in our mission, Kellogg’s ran this campaign from August 14 to September 17, 2025, with purchases of participating products at Sobeys Ontario, Sobeys West, Sobeys Atlantic, and Safeway contributing to a donation of up to $25,000.

Thanks to this campaign, children across Canada will benefit from greater access to nutritious food — helping address childhood hunger and ensuring children have the energy and focus they need to learn, play, and thrive at school.

We’re grateful to Kellogg’s, their retail partners, and the shoppers who turned everyday purchases into a lasting, meaningful impact for Canadian children from coast-to-coast.
