What is the Make Happy Tummies Voucher Program?

Student nutrition programs in schools across Ontario are striving to plan healthy meals and provide food to students. Having food in their tummies allows kids to learn by improving focus and concentration.

We know these programs are stretched for dollars. Our fundraising is one way we help them, but it’s not the only way.

This year, the initiative has taken on a new name: the Make Happy Tummies Voucher Program. The change elevates and brings to life the “heart” that has been at the core of our mission from the start. We hope to capture the happiness enabled by a healthy meal, foundational to a hungry student’s physical and emotional well-being, and the joy that comes with nourishing a child.

The Voucher Program offers student nutrition programs in Ontario significant cost savings on a range of healthy products at participating grocery stores through the use of product vouchers. With the generous cooperation of our retailer and manufacturer partners, we are able to lower the cost of purchasing healthy items and the related savings means more children can be fed!
