No Hungry Tummies Left Behind
We are part of something bigger than any one community.
Make Happy Tummies is a nationwide Canadian campaign uniting neighbours, grocers, and families from coast to coast to help children start the day nourished and ready to learn.
From January to April, more than 1,700 grocery stores across Canada are taking part — supporting hungry children in thousands of communities like ours. Together, we are part of a moment that can change the future for a generation of Canadian kids, starting right here at home.
See below for all participating stores.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much of my donation goes towards student nutrition/breakfast programs?
100% of proceeds raised from Make Happy Tummies benefit student nutrition programs in local1 communities in the vicinity of the stores where donations are made OR in the province where the donation is made when made online. Donations benefit Student Nutrition Ontario (SNO) in Ontario or Breakfast Club of Canada in Western Canada, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada.
Do retailers get a tax write-off for the Make Happy Tummies campaign or any related donations made by shoppers?
No. The only people eligible for a tax receipt for donations made in-store during the campaign are the individual donors.
How do you identify local1 programs?
We work with our student nutrition partners, to identify eligible school-based student nutrition programs. These programs benefit from donations made in-store and online once the campaign ends.
What if I do not see a program in the vicinity of the store where I am shopping?
The Donation Tracker includes the programs that benefit currently. Once our annual fundraising campaign concludes, we distribute donations to schools that have been identified / partnered with stores. This tracker and the schools found there are continuously being updated.
How much can I donate at the grocery store? Can I get a tax receipt?
Many of our grocery store partners offer options to make donations of a toonie and several other donation options, including in some cases open donations. The Foundation accepts donations of $5 or more online which are eligible for a tax receipt.
Why are schools not named?
We do not publish school names for privacy reasons.
Can I direct my funds to a specific program?
